Learn moreWhy do San Diego homeowners choose Paint Pros San Diego?
San Diego paint has specific challenges. Coastal salt air fades paint on Encinitas and La Jolla exteriors. Inland UV in El Cajon and Escondido cooks south-facing walls. Mountain freeze-thaw cycles in Julian and Alpine crack stucco. We know the county, the substrates, and which paint systems actually hold up here.
- Prep you can't see matters most. Sand, caulk, fill, prime — the boring steps that make the paint actually last.
- Flat-rate pricing, no square-foot games. We walk your home, measure, and quote in writing. No hourly billing surprises.
- Premium paint, no builder-grade shortcuts. Sherwin-Williams Emerald, Benjamin Moore Advance. Paint rated for what we're painting.
- We answer the phone. No lead-form middleman. A real person in San Diego, same-week response on most jobs.

What homeowners across the county say
Whole interior of a 3-bedroom in four days. Crew arrived at 8, worked clean, moved furniture themselves, and the cut lines around our textured ceiling are the sharpest I've ever seen on a paint job. Color turned out exactly like the sample.
Got three quotes. Paint Pros was the only one who walked me through the stucco prep in detail — which cracks needed elastomeric, which didn't. They spec'd a premium paint, not the cheapest. Nine months in, zero issues. Fair price for the work that went in.
Transformed our 90s oak kitchen. Doors off-site in a spray booth, sharp lines, handles upgraded. A week from drop-off to reinstall. Our kitchen looks like a $40,000 remodel but it cost us $5,400. Best ROI of anything we've done to this house.
Had the HOA submittal paperwork ready before I even asked about it. Submitted, approved within two weeks, crew started the following Monday. No surprises, no change orders. Three neighbors asked for their contact.
Bought a 1984 house that still had original popcorn ceilings. They tested for asbestos first (clean, thankfully), then scraped, skim-coated level-5 smooth, and repainted every room. House feels 10 years newer.
200 yards from the ocean. Previous paint job lasted five years before the chalking started. Paint Pros recommended elastomeric instead of standard acrylic, explained why. Two years in, still looks brand new. They know coastal.

All FAQsWhat areas in San Diego County do you paint?
We paint every city in San Diego County — from coastal communities like Encinitas, Carlsbad, and La Jolla, to inland cities like San Marcos, Escondido, and Poway, through East County (El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee), South Bay (Chula Vista, National City), and the mountain communities. If you're in the county, we cover you.
How much does interior painting cost?
Single rooms run $650–$1,400 depending on wall height, trim detail, and prep needed. A full-interior 3-bedroom repaint usually lands $3,800–$6,500 with two coats on walls, ceilings, and trim. We walk the home, measure, and give a written flat-rate quote — no square-foot estimating games.
How much does exterior painting cost?
Single-story stucco homes start around $4,800. Two-story homes from $7,500. Elastomeric premium adds about $1,000 on top of standard acrylic for crack-prone walls. Pressure wash and prep are included. Exterior work typically takes 3–7 days depending on prep and weather.
What paint do you use?
Sherwin-Williams Emerald or SuperPaint for walls, Pro Classic enamel for trim, Emerald Urethane for cabinets. Benjamin Moore Regal, Aura, and Advance available on request. All low-VOC. For stucco we spec Loxon XP or elastomeric. We don't cut to builder-grade paint on customer jobs.
How fast can you come out for an estimate?
Usually within 2–3 business days. In-home estimates are free and typically take 30–45 minutes. If color consultation is part of the conversation, we bring large-format samples so you can see actual paint in your actual light — not a swatch under fluorescent store lighting.
